Thanksgiving

1- Me :)
2- My response to the first day outta school (we dropped by INEC to pick up Jenn)
3- Zé, Heda, Me, Jenn
4- Our yummy Thanksgiving lunch

My thanksgiving rocked brasilian style! I woke up at 8:30 for no reason and ate some birthday cake from my host mom the night before (mmm, coconut cake). Then I took a shower, and right when I got out my friends made a surprise visit--I had to answer the door in my towel! I got ready speedily, and then Heda (from NY), Zé (from here), and I drove around Teresina, picked up Jennifer (soon to be next host sister), and went to the mall. Afterwards we met up with Aubrey from Wisconsin (all 3 american exchangers in Teresina were there to celebrate :) ) and went to a really fancy restaurant called Papardelli. To finish it off, I went to Heda´s house to watch Mr. and Mrs. Smith, a DVD of Friends (GREATEST SHOW OF ALL TIME by the way), and eat pizza and salgados. It was definitely different, and I did miss the norm, but it was still great.

Aubrey´s House

Here´s the other american´s house in Teresina. Aubrey is so awesome, and we´re never bored together! Here we are wondering around the property, snapping random photos of the goats and scenery.

Louis Correia

I just got back from a week at the beach. Another american exchanger--Aubrey--invited me to her beach house which was absolutely breathtaking!!! Seriously, the place was a paradise. We rode the waves, laid out, and went on the cliche long moonlit walk on the beach (lacking the guys, but it was good for girltalk). Anyways, It was perfect. To finish the week, we rested for a day and then went to the ballet of Don Quixote at the city´s historic theatre.

What to do?

This few weeks has been more about hanging around Teresina, which has been a blast. I went to a few parties with the other exchangers. For Halloween I went to another american exchangers house to watch scary movies and make brigadeiros, hehehe. It´s been a lot slower and RELAXING lately. I´ve had more random holidays (a day off school, it´s nice. I didn´t go Wednesday, nor today or Saturday because of them :) )Well, here are the pics!
1) Me in my room (love the wall paint!)
2) Me and Jennifer-my soon to be host sister
3) Me at the sorveteria (ice cream store)
4) Liana and * (don´t have a clue how to say her name yet) at the sorveteria
5) Me, *, and Carol cruisin around Teresina
