And so it begins

With less than a week before I leave for Brazil, I look at foreign exchange in a new light. It isn't some abstract trip in the distant future. It's right here, right now, staring me in the face. I am packing, saying my goodbyes, enjoying my last days in the U.S. with family and friends. I admit, the butterflies are creeping into my stomach, and I'm getting a little bit scared. I am ready to go, to start my adventure, to meet this challenge head on.
